MEDICAL COLLEGE ADMISSION IN RUSSIA Medical Council of India has approved and recognised Medical Education Degree in Russia. Members of Alipore Social Welfare Trust’s Department of Education have recommends ASWT Education Relief and Scholarship Fund Management to give Education Relief and Scholarships for the Eligible Students for Medical Degree in Russia. For this purpose, Members of Experts at ASWT Education Relief and Scholarship Fund has chosen Smolensk State Medical Academy (SSMA), Smolensk Russia for the students. ASWT Education Relief and Scholarship Fund Management has approached the Officials of SSMA, Smolensk (Russia) to reserve atleast 5 seats for our students every year which we shall try to allocate to the needy students we shall be sponsoring. WHY SSMA? Smolensk State Medical Academy is ranked 22nd by WHO (World Health Organization). Other good features are High Value Education, Better Facilities in the hostel, Good Accommodation and around 400 Indian Students already studying. Other features are good infrastructure, very economical fees and its affiliation with 6000 Bedded Hospitals in Smolensk. And also because Muslim students are given one hall for prayer and mess is available for fasting month of Ramadan for early morning Sehri and at evening Iftaari too. (Click here to read Advertisement in Newspaper) Total Cost Per Year: VERY ECONOMICAL The total cost of fees, lodging, boarding, inclusive of return airline ticket comes to around Rs. 200,000/- . If we compare this fee with Medical Colleges in India it is Rs 500,000/- each year. YEAR 2005-06 ASWT Education Relief and Scholarship Fund Management had sponsored two students for Russia. One child for Tver State Medical Academy (TSMA), Tver, Russia and One Child for Smolensk State Medical Academy(SSMA), Smolensk. It is found that SSMA is much better in respect to TSMA. YEAR 2006-07 ASWT Education Relief and Scholarship Fund Management have planned to sponsor at least 6 students for MBBS in Russia (including 2 students from the previous year). For which around Rs. 1,200,000/- (£ 15,000/-for 6 students) shall be spent. Apart from the above students, ASWT Education Relief and Scholarship Fund Management have adopted a Dental Student, D. Pharma., MSc(Bio-Chem.) and also some other students(list submitted herewith) in our Schemes who will be sponsored by ASWT Education Relief and Scholarship Fund Management. |
