MY DAD

- i –

DAD, we always used to call you ‘Papa’,

Dad; you were our first Hero...

You always were a special man for us…..

You were more like a friend, philosopher & guide

You were our Inspiration,

Your words always carried Weight and Wisdom

You being there gave us Encouragement

Your smile was Seal of Approval

You always lived with us, ….

imbedded deeply in our Hearts, souls and Minds.

With you we had comfort, security and contentment.

You taught and showed us…

all the good things in life.

You always gave Encouragement to all we did

You always were our best critic

would always comment that we could have done even better.

Your social work for poor and rich were Inspiring

Your Generosity was Outstanding,

Your feelings towards…..

the poor and needy were Enormous.

You and mom were the perfect Host…

for each guest we had …

at our small house but with biggest of all hearts.

We, all your Children…are your lasting legacy

You were the person to contribute to the family,

You always gave moral and emotional support to us

and you were a great parent and a partner.

With families of our own to manage,

we then begin to realise the importance of the role of father in our life.

By the time we settled into our new lives,

you had adorned the roles of grandparents and in-laws.

You taught us religion and generosity,

Modified our behaviour

You gave us the best social life

You taught us to tell the truth and never lie.

We all express our deep gratitude and love to you.

You made us all proud today

You didn’t want to see us in sorrow

You wanted us all to smile

And you always wanted us to see you go with smile

Rightfully, the day and time….

the Almighty and the Most Merciful had chosen…

to call you to His Heavenly abode…

did make us all proud of you…..

No doubt, parting is painful…

Filled with sorrow and tears…

Papa, we all miss you!

When my mom passed away …

We only had one Hope and Comfort

And Consolation ….

And Contentment…

was such that we have You with us.

Now that we have lost you

We miss both of you

When we see your empty chair ………

We Miss You even more…

We miss your smile and pleasing face

We miss your words and prayers

Your devotion to Almighty ….

in all the Good Deeds you do ….

are with us in our hearts.

O’ Almighty,

You are the Most Merciful

The Benevolent and Beneficent,

The Forgiver and the Giver and the Creator

We do not know …

how to invoke you or ask from you…

But Everything is in Your Knowledge;

You are Compassionate, Sovereign and Powerful;

The Knower, Protector and Praiseworthy;

The Just, Affectionate, Eternal and Benefactor;

It’s from You we thank and ask.

We thank You for choosing us as their children

We thank You for calling them on the best of the day and time…..

The day and time all the Saints invoke You….

for their last breath they shall breathe.

We thank You for bestowing them the best of qualities in them ….

like Generosity, Feelings, Appreciation,  Humorous….

Forgiveness, Repentance, Respect,  Joy, Comfort…..!

O Almighty,

Please have Mercy on our Parents!

Please Bestow them all the Best….

You have Created for us, Human Beings….

in the Life Hereafter!

Please Forgive their Sins and Misdeeds

Please Reward them for …

all the good they did.

Please Bestow them the Highest of all Stages …

In Jannatul Firdaus (Paradise) !

Ameen!

TO MY PAPA

Papa, what can I say?

You gave me all!

You worked your fingers to the bone,

You gave me everything,

You gave me so many wonderful memories

and I'll always treasure every moment we spent together.

I write this through tears of sorrow and pain,

You were always there for me

when I needed you ……

with a soft word telling me it will all work out.

That I was strong ….

and can handle what comes my way.

I still hear you saying that to me

but because you aren't there in front of me

and behind, just incase I fall I doubt myself.

I love you, papa.

I wish I could have told you

what kind of example you've been to me.

No one else has had a greater impact on my life.

I miss you.

You died the way you wanted

With fast and intention for prayers

I know deep in my heart

that you know how much I love you,

I wish I would have told you more often.

Please know I love you and will miss you always.

Thanks for the good memories.

I will hold you in my heart forever.

POEM - 3

FROM YOUR CHILD

Papa

I feel so rich that

The Almighty saw fit for me to be your child.

There is no amount of money

that could make me feel richer,

It’s been a couple of days since you past

and although I know you are better off in heaven

Papa, I miss you so much..

no man on this earth ….

will ever love me unconditionally like you..

thanks for your teachings of self-worth..

and self-esteem,

I love you so much and miss you ...

I realize that life is really short

and you never know that ….

the person you love so much will suddenly be gone.

POEM - 4

PAPA, YOU  LIVE IN ME

Papa, I Feel you

'Coz you have been around forever

Since the first breath I took

Now I have to go alone

But for love I need not look

'Coz by what you bestowed

In our time together

Will last in my heart forever

Although you have gone

I am not alone

'Coz I am wrapped in your love

Enjoy now your long-awaited reward

Feel the Peace

You have gone, papa

But you live in me.

POEM - 5

MY FATHER

My father was and is my friend..

my heart is broken….

he was my world,

always there to listen…..

give advise…..

only when I asked....
never to judge …..

always to help…..

I wonder if I will survive this awful sense of being alone......

I know how very lucky I am to have had him in my life …..

but I miss him so much.

Treasure your father......

tell him you love him…..

tell him how much you care…..

for you never know just how much you treasure his love

until you can no longer feel his touch..

his wisdom....

his love.

The most memorable memory I have is

when you came to the hospital to see our son being born

you could barely even take a breath,

but you wanted to see your grandson.

I will never, ever forget that day.

I barely could even keep the tears from rolling down my face,

but I held it all in.

You just loved your grandchildren so much.

We all love and miss you dearly.

Papa, I love you very much

and I'm proud to be your son

I miss you so much.

You were very dear to me.

I want you to know I will never forget you.

I was very fortunate to have a father like you.

I will always remember the things …

you've done for each one of us kids.
