The status of civil work and the services rendered at Alipore Hospital and Research Centre are as under:

a)   The structural work is completed.

b)   Plastering : of wall, both inside and outside is completed.

c)  Tiling of the wall: is completed in the ward rooms and the passages, for which an extra expense of Rs. 1,900,000/- was spent to keep the Alipore Hospital building clean and hygienic.

d)   Flooring work: is completed.

e)   Electrical Fittings: are almost completed. Safety precautions are taken cared of. All rooms has its own circuit breakers. The work is done by qualified professionals.

f)    Plumbing: work is completed.

g)   Sewerage:  This work is completed.

h)   Meter Room and Electric Control Room: Work completed. Meter and Electric Control Panel is installed. We have separate Transformer for Alipore Hospital.

i)   Generator Room: Work is completed. We were in need of generator urgently due to frequent power failure. Many times we had to use other cheap and conventional alternatives for this purpose during the operations. We are pleased to inform you that a Charitable Body named MUSLIMAID UK has sponsored one Diesel Generator of 75 KV capacity which is capable to supply whole Hospital Campus‘s  power need for today and for the future also. We extend our gratitude to the donors.

j)    Launderette Room: The room is near completion. There shall be a place for washing clothes and other room for drying and ironing them. We shall have three Washing Machines. One washing machine shall be provided for linens, bed sheets and pillow covers and the second one for surgical wear and clothings and masks etc. and the third washing machine for other Garments.

k)   Painting: The work of interior and exterior side of the hospital building is completed. 

l)    Elevator: work was done at the site and is now fully operational, we shall order for the second one when required. Right now, one is sufficient.

m)  Wall along the Stream: The work is completed. This wall was necessary to prevent Soil Erosion along the stream.

n)   Excavation and Land Filling Work: was done as and when required. Land filling and excavation work is necessary to avoid vibrations to the structure and possible soil erosion. So this work is still being carried out around the hospital building. Still lot of land filling work is required at the site.  Estimated cost still pending worth about Rs. 300,000/-.

o)   Purchase of Surgical Instruments and Hospital Furnitures: Order for the purchase of the Surgical Instruments and Hospital Furnitures (as per requirements), which are required for the hospital, is placed and the delivery of the same are received and rest items are expected soon to be delivered. ASWT requires huge funds to purchase hospital furnitures and Surgical Equipments and for that we all request all of you to contribute generously towards it.

p)   Appointment of Doctors and Staffs: We have appointed fulltime Doctors as under:

              i)  General Surgeon
 ii)  General Physician/Cardiologist
iii)  Orthopaedic Surgeon
iv)   Gynaecologist
 v)   Dental Surgeon
vi)   Hospital Administrator
vii)   3 Resident Medical Officers
viii)  One Fulltime Pharmacist
ix)   And we have also appointed and given attachments to many doctors from
      different fields who are available as per the Medical Consultants shown in the coming
      pages.
x)   We have also appointed Qualified and Semi-Qualified Nurses, Mid-wives,
      Operation Theatre Assistants, Laboratory Technicians, X-Ray Technician, Accountants,
      Clerical Staffs, Skilled and Unskilled staffs as per our requirements.

q)   Ambulance Service: We are pleased to inform you that we have an ambulance services available for 24Hrs.

r)    X-RAY Department: X-ray service is started and we are pleased to inform you that we have three [3] X-Ray machines.

 [i] 300MA Large Multipurpose X-Ray Machine,
[ii] A 60MA Portable X-ray Machine for Operation Theatres and bedside X- Rays
[iii] A Dental X-ray machine.

s)   Pathological Department: We provide basic pathological services available round the clock in case of emergency.

t)    Sonography Department: We are pleased to inform you that Sonography Scanner machine is sponsored by Muslim Aid UK which will be helpful for Trauma Care Department Patients, Gynaecologists, General Surgeons, Urologists, Nephrologists, Orthopaedics, MD Physicians and Surgeons. We have two visiting Sonologists, two Gynaecologists and one Cardiologist who operates this machine.

u)   Dental Department: We have a full-time Dentist and complete dental requirement for this department. We have Dental Chair, Dental X-Ray Machine, Scaling Machine and other machines. All Dental works like Tooth Extractions, Root-Canal Treatments [RCT], Cosmetic Dental Surgeries and other dental works are done by our Dentists. Ours is one of the most hygienic Dental Department in the District as we use fully-sterilized/Disposable equipments in this department.

v)    Intensive Care Unit (ICU):  A fully Air-Conditioned ICU is started with latest equipments like Computerised Central Monitoring Station, Bedside Monitors, Defibrillators, Syringe Infusion Pump, Nebuliser, Suction Machine, Oxygen, etc. We have a fulltime MD Physician and two Visiting MD Physicians to look after this department.

w)   Chemist: The nearest Chemist is about 5 Kms. away; hence we needed a medical store. To facilitate our patients and nearby population, ASWT has started a Medical Store, from 1^st of November, 2001, which is named ‘ALIPORE HOSPITAL MEDICAL STORE’.

x)    Prayer Hall: is to be built inside the Campus soon. Contributions are welcomed.

y)    Canteen: We are planning to build a canteen inside the campus soon. Contributions are welcomed. 

z)   ALL TREATMENTS UNDER ONE ROOF: Our main Objective is to bring health awareness amongst people and to serve all types of patients under one roof. To bring this health awareness we have given attachments to the doctors as per the list from different medical fields and faculties. To make people meet these specialist we are serving our OPDs at a very low cost of Rs. 20/- per patient per specialist whose charge are quite exorbitant while they diagnose at their consulting rooms. Apart from this, the treatment given by our doctors at our General OPD is given absolutely FREE.

The Medical services at ALIPORE HOSPITAL & RESEARCH CENTRE was started from 4^th of June, 2001 and since then the organizers have tried their best to improve the services and the facilities at ALIPORE HOSPITAL.

The work pending and its estimated cost and payment pending alongwith the estimated cost of surgical equipments etc are shown in the coming pages.

ASWT and the proposed Alipore Hospital has been registered in various Department of the Government. ASWT has 80G benefit for the donors under the Income-Tax Act.

ASWT is also registered under Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act. ASWT request all of you to come forward and contribute generously for this noble cause to serve Mankind. ASWT also extend its gratitude to all those great people who have been instrumental to complete this project.
