HAJI AHMED FAKIR MANIYAR, KHAMBHIYA MAHOLLA, ALIPORE, INDIA

It is with extreme sadness that we inform you of the passing away of our ELDER, WELL-WISHER and GUIDE, HAJI AHMED FAKIR MANIYAR, Founder, Jameah Rahmania, Khambhiya. Haji Ahmed Maniyarhad been HON. TRUSTEE ALIPORE SOCIAL WELFARE TRUST all his life.

Marhoom HAJI AHMED MANIYAR served Alipore Jamaat
as a Trustee, Alipore Muslim Association, for more than Two Decades.  His contribution to THE SURATI SUNNI VOHRA MUSLIM SOCIETY which is serving 180 villages was tremendous. He had been elected as President as many as 8 times of Vohra Society(as commonly called). Haji Maniyar also served Dabhel Madressa for several years as a Member of Soorah Committee (Executive Committee). His expertise to tackle the unusual situation during the Dabhel Madressah Crisis after the Demise of Hazrat Moulana Saeed Buzurg is still well remembered by the Madressa Authorities.

We at Alipore Social Welfare Trust shall remember him for his prompt decision to sell the plot of land at a purchase rate when he had an offer to sell the same land at a very premium rate. Today where Alipore Hospital stands had formerly been his property which he gave at a throwaway price on one request of Late Haji Ismail Hassan Mayet Jawahar. His contribution to Alipore and surrounding areas, in particular, and the Ummah, in general, was awesome. Haji Ahmed Maniyar have left a legacy which will be extremely difficult to emulate.

Marhoom Haji Ahmed Maniyar was a well-wisher of Alipore Social Welfare Trust and Alipore Hospital and Research Centre and had kept keen interest in various projects of ASWT. Since inception of Alipore Social Welfare Trust, the trustees and workers of the trust were given moral support and back-up from this great son of Alipore.

May Almighty Forgive the sins of all Marhumeens and bestow Highest of stages in Jannatul – Firdaus and grant Sabre-Jameel to all the Near and Dear Ones in the Maniyar Families. AMEEN!

Inauguration of Endoscope Department

It was a proud Day in the History of Alipore Hospital & Research Centre when an Endoscope Unit was commissioned in the Surgery Department. Opening Duaa Ceremony was performed by Kari Abdul Hai Gajaria, Vice President of ASWT Alipore Hospital & Research Centre, as the other Members of the Board of Trustees, and Dr Neerav Desai MS, the Laprascopic & Endoscopic Surgeon, joined in the Prayer Ceremony. Endoscopy is a minimally invasive diagnostic medical procedure that is used to assess the interior surfaces of an organ by inserting a tube into the body. It not only provides for visual inspection and photography, but also enables taking biopsies and retrieval of foreign objects. Endoscopy is minimally invasive surgery and now Alipore Hospital has a state of art endoscopy department under the able guidance of Dr Neerav Desai, who demonstrated the equipment to the Trustees and other staff of Alipore Hospital, just after the Inauguration Prayer ceremony. We hope that this equipment shall serve the purpose of providing the Latest Medical Facilities to the people in and around Alipore.

The Medicines Dispensed, Procedures Done, Test Performed and Consultancy Services provided to the patients were FREE OF COST by Alipore Social Welfare Trust.

FMDS was welcomed by all and there was good response in every village we served. Our first introduction of FDMS was: In first introductory phase of FMDS in 10 days, 69 villages were covered and 1933 patients diagnosed by AHRC’s Medical Officers. Then for the second FMDS Camps in 10 days, 17 villages were covered and 1242 patients were diagnosed. Till date, we have organised 5 rounds of FMDS where 5707 patients were diagnosed. We have got very overwhelming response from these villages and we plan to extend this FMDS in future as a permanent Health Awareness Programme for which we want the support of our donors.

There was frequent demand from some of the villages to provide them weekly FMDS services, which was not possible due to pre-occupation of our medical teams in various villages. Hence the Board of trustees came to a consideration to provide the following villages with FMDS every Fortnights on following days.
