A get-together was held on 31/07/2003 at 2:00 p.m. where delegates of different villages paid their visit.

 Minutes

  1. Dr. Vyas welcomed the people and gave an introductory reason of the get-to-gather. And programme began with words of GOD, recitation of Qur’aan Sharif by a student of Darul Uloom Madressa Hidayatul Islam, Alipore.
  1. Welcome speech: Vice-President of ASWT, Qari AbdulHai Gajaria welcomed all the delegates who paid their visit despite of Monsoon Season and torrential rain in the area. He said that, this drive of FREE Mobile Dispensary Camp Service (FMDS) is just the beginning. There will be many more programmes of this sort in the future, where AHRC shall send a group of Medical Specialists such as Cardiologist, General Physician, General Surgeon, Paediatrician (Child Specialist), Gynecologist, Orthopaedic Surgeon, ENT Specialist, Ophthalmologist and other specialist doctors of different medical fraternities, will be giving FREE MEDICAL CHECK-UP / CONSULTATIONS services, FREE OF COST, at these camps. All what is expected from the villager is their co-operation, encouragements and help the trust to serve better. He again welcomed all the visitors at the programme and then he proposed the chair f this meeting, by naming Haji Ismail Hassan Mayet (Jawahar) as the chair of the meet.
  1. Mr. Ashraf Vali, the member of Board of Trustees of Alipore Social Welfare Trust, seconded the proposed and said that Mr. Ismailbhai Mayet is the rightful choice of the meet and he too welcomed all the visitors and thanked them. He also stated that Mr. Ismailbhai H. Mayet, Jawahar, was the person who dreamed about the hospital project and that AHRC is a dream come true for him.
  1. Dr. Jayraj Desai spoke about the reasons available and the facilities and relief’s to the poor patients. He said that All Treatment in ONE ROOF is our aim and we shall try our utmost best to fulfill this dream. For this purpose, he insisted that local residents should come forward and try their best to help AHRC to serve better. Mobile Dispensary service was an introductory scheme but AHRC is planning to do this service in large scale. He appealed all the delegates to help, co-operate and give suggestions to the organizers, trustees and doctors to serve better for the ill patient.

Message Reading: Dr. Rajesh Vyas read the message by the president of Sadakpore Village Body.  President of Sadakpore village stated in his message that it was thankful to ASWT & AHRC for the free medical camp in their village and that the expected the same in future too. They also were requesting for medical camp on weekly basis at their village.
  1. Speech by Dr. Rakesh Patel, MD (Physician) Full-Time Physician & Cardiologist introduced himself and said that AHRC is having sophisticated and modern equipments and ICCU and Emergency is very professional and that he is thankful to all the villagers for the encouragement received to Free Mobile Dispensary Camp in their village. Dr. Patel said ICCU and Operation Theatre is well-equipped with proper care and run professionally at a very cheap rate which is a remarkable achievement of AHRC.
  1. Message reading of Surkhai Jamaat and Pananj Village Council (Panchayat) which said they want weekly service of this Mobile Dispensary service and also there is more need for medical facilities in future to help organize Medical Camps in villages. This message was read by by Dr. Hemant Mistry (RMO).
  1. Message reading of the message from President of Saravni village Council was read by Mr. Girish Desai, Hospital Administrator which said they needed the service and they were thankful to ASWT for the Free Mobile Dispensary Service rendered to the villagers.
  1. Speech by Dr. Manilal Pandya (RMO), Dr. Pandya said was thankful to all the villages where he participated to serve as a Dr. in the Free Medical Dispensary Camp. He appealed the people to help the ASWT to serve better.
  1. Message reading from Manekpore Village Council and School Principal was read by Dr. Abdul Latheef (RMO) which wanted that they need weekly service from AHRC and a lady Dr every fortnight for girls’ madressa.
  1. Message reading from Sadakpore village panchayat was read by Dr. Hemant Mistry (RMO) which wanted that they need weekly service from ASWT.
  1. Speech by Dr. Abdul Latheef (RMO), Dr. Abdul Latheef spoke of the need of the Free Mobile Dispensary Service and asked people to take full advantage of this scheme and help the trust to organizers, specialist doctors, and staffs in medical camp for the success of this service.
  1. Question Answer Time:

a)       A representative from Kharoli village stood up and said he was pleased with the settings of AHRC and was proud to state that Alipore Hospital is the best hospital he has seen in his 81 yrs of life within 50 kms vicinity. He praised the organizers, trustees and doctors and staffs and said he and his village will gave full co-operations to all the members who will come to his area or village in the future camps. He asked for once a week camp for the village. He said he salutes ASWT and all at Alipore Hospital for this great achievement of spreading health awareness in the area.

b)       Dr. Jayraj Desai stood up and thanked the delegate and assured him that ARC will serve better in near future.

c)       A representative from Pratapnagar, said AHRC has done remarkable work and that he has personally seen how his schools Principal was treated professionally with a very low cost. He also said the medicines supplied by the hospital medical store were very cheap than the other medical stores. He said there is a need for a female Gynaecologist which is to be filled up by the AHRC as problems to poor female patients will be better looked after.

d)      Dr. Jayraj Desai agreed with the demand and replied that AHRC is on look for a good female gynaecologist and soon this area will be looked after by the AHRC and that Gynaecology Dept will be started soon as we have a full time gynecologist.

e)    Mr. Miyabhai Baser of Alipore congratulated the trustees and the doctors and the staffs and said that this new scheme of Free Mobile Dispensary Camp was a much needed scheme for which he is proud of. He said ASWT since it started functioning, has bought expensive equipments, services are best, they have been successful by introducing best doctors, best medicines, best surgeries and that too at a much cheaper rate. He said X-Ray and Sonography was the cheapest in this area, emergency are tackled best in this area. He said the doctors namely Dr. Jayraj Desai, Orthopaedic Surgeon, Dr. Rakesh Patel MD (Cardiologist), General Surgeons like Dr. Sarang Shah (MS), Dr. Parvez Shaikh (MS) and Dr. Swapnesh Patel (MS) are best in the team of Drs. in the vicinity.

The OPD service deals with top visiting specialist and X-Ray, Sonography is the cheapest in the area and also stated that radiological department is very good and rates are very subsidized. Overall all the treatment done at AHRC is best and cheaper in the area. He congratulated the trustees, doctors and staffs of AHRC and wished great success in future too. He said he too is the member of relief fund to the poor patients and he has experienced that Alipore Hospital has done outstanding work towards patients treatment and he has seen lot of good work and services provided to those poor and needy patients.

f)      Mr. Mehmood Miya Saiyed, representative of World Health Organization (WHO) said he is frequent visitor of AHRC and has found that the services rendered and diagnosis done at Alipore was of professional standards and as per WHO guidelines and also as per District Health Department requirement. He said the services were of subsidized cost and almost free of cost in many fields. He said medical camps in villages will be helped and co-operated by PHC (Public Health Centers) in the area too. He said he salutes the trustees, doctors, staffs and members of AHRC for they project and for success in future he shall pray for the best. He said he offers full support to the trust in all its future developments and schemes.

g)       Ahmed Mayet of Manekpore village congratulated the trustees, doctors and staff of AHRC and said he was pleased with the services and was happy that all the patient he sent to AHRC for treatment were better looked after. He wanted to know what type of discount will be given to the poor patients.

h)       Mr. Hassan Mayet, President of ASWT answered with a thanks to all the visitors for participating in the get-to-gather and then stated that although patients are given subsidized treatment at present further discounts and may be in some cases full cost will be borne by AHRC for very poor and needy patient based on the socio-economic status of the patients.

He further stated that AHRC rates of X-Ray, Sonography, Operations, Treatments, and Pathology Laboratory Departments are very subsidized and that lot of care is taken to maintain these departments but at the same time it is seen to it that no burden is passed on to the patients. Alipore Hospital spends its maintenance from its donation funds for which he thanked all the Donors in the country and abroad. 

He also said there will be lot of time and energy spent by Alipore Hospital teams on Health Awareness programmes in future also. And that He believed in the principle, ‘Stitch once and save nine’. So better take precautions by some health awareness programmes and take special care in Proper Hygiene and cleanliness.  He appealed to all that we should have proper civic sense to avoid spreading of any diseases. He said that Alipore Hospital Drs. are ready to give them full guidances for such programmes.

i)         Mr. Ahmed Patel, Retired Collector, Saraiya, came to the stage and congratulated the trustees, doctors and all the people involved in ASWT and AHRC and said in 2 years the work done by this hospital is equivalent to 20 years of work by many such trust hospitals. He said he appeals to one and all that AHRC is doing its duties as they are doing but are we doing our duties to help and strengthen the work by giving them time, money, support, verbally or in kind, if Not, then we have no time to lose. We should start it again and do the good work. There is no time limit or duration but there is lot of work needed to see that AHRC succeeds in all its future programmes. He also said that its not people at AHRC who should contact us but it’s the duty of us as an individual to visit AHRC frequently and discuss the requirements and needs of the trust for future programmes.

  1. Vote of Thanks: Mr. Bashir Karolia, Secretary of ASWT, thanked all the visitors for attending the meet despite torrential rain and Highway Jams and assured that all the suggestions and demands of theirs shall be looked after. And he further stated that there shall be such get-together in future also, where there shall be discussions and suggestions sought after by the trustees from the visitors. Free Medical Dispensary Camp will be continuous process and will be served in a better way in future also. Apart from this service AHRC plans   
  1. Duaa: Mufti Inamul Haque Sahab prayed for the success of the future treated of AHRC and for world peace and good health. Muftisaab also stated that if any suggestions comes in the mind of the delegates at home too , then they are free to contact the trustees by the means of telephone call, letter or by personal visit
  2. Refreshment: was served to all the delegates and the meeting were declared closed.
